GACKT's First Concept Tour in 7 Years『LAST VISUALIVE TOUR』Opens

It has been 7 years since the concept live『Requiem et Reminiscence』which mobilised 100,000 people. GACKT’s『LAST VISUALIVE』has been held today, March 19 (Sat), at Saitama Misato City Cultural Hall’s large hall.

The『VISUALIVE』is a themed story which is expressed in a concert live by linking together all the elements of「video」,「performance」, and「music」. And is a platform where one can experience a powerful live staging of an unparalleled and original world view.

The live started an hour behind schedule. After「Yoshitsune Hiden」was projected onto the stage’s theatre curtain, the「VISUALIVE」finally started. With around 7 minutes of footage, just as it approached the climax, the curtains parted and GACKT appeared in the centre. The live opened in the middle of loud cheers.

The audience were also excited by the setlist which is centred around the newest album,『LAST MOON』which goes on sale in April. During「Kugutsu ga Gotoku」, aside from perfectly delivering an intense dance with the back-up dancers, he also let the audience feel the full extent of his commitment to this tour.

Also, while having the unique feeling that one gets in a live, that your body is wrapped in a vortex of sound, various sceneries are projected on the back screen, which gives the powerful illusion of making you feel like you’re not in a concert hall, but perhaps in the middle of a movie instead. With the live, the videos, and the performance interlocked together, 3 hours passed in the blink of an eye.
