Movie Karanukan Starring GACKT-san
Both yesterday and today, we've continuously had a wonderful shoot
This time, starting with director Hamano Yasuhiro who has a message to send to the world,
Kato Tokiko-san, Yui Masayuki-san, everyone had kept a wonderful mind about them
We are seriously aimed at Okinawa's environmental problems, military base problems, Hokkaido's railway disappearing, the Constitution, and various social problems
This is a really wonderful thing
Right now, a lot of people think that as long as its in their favour its alright
As long as its okay now, its fine
If its convenient, its fine
If ita fun, its fun
Even if I think about something that far in the future, it can't be helped
Because I can't change that as hard as I try...
I know that there are lots of humans who are like that
The most important thing and the biggest factor is each and every person's mind who has the intention to better the world
Since I can't change those around me, do I not change as well
If those around me have the intention for change too, do I change as well
Do I live for the sake of someone
I believe that from here on, the future is really in your hands, and in your mind
The participation in this production is tied to something truly wonderful
I'm glad that we were able to meet and talk to each other
The filming in Okinawa too, will completely end today!
I'm heading back to the hustle and bustle of Tokyo~

Live is born in the warm sea.
Born in the ebb of the tide,
there is something that you can only get from the water that comes and goes in the flow of the river, the flow of the tide.
Humans were born here
We cannot reclaim even more land going forward.
We should not kill even more.
Humans, and nature and animals
Feel and give together
And when given, it should be shared
As mangroves are weak plants,
they are forced to the waterfronts.
Because humans who have neoteny are considered as weak as well,
they are forced to the waterfronts.
The waterfront, where land meets the seas and rivers
Even if there is no nuclear power, or concrete, or wars,
life is protected and created.
You don't have to do anything, it's good as long as you can live everyday happily.

Underwater filming, success! So
Everyone, the heroine, hair & make-up, the stylist, assistant director
are all in a sportive mood.
Only 2 cuts left on land!
We've finished filming.
We're done with the Okinawa locations for Karanukan. Just then, right before my eyes a stark white coral reef floated.
That's it! That long white coral reef still awaits.
Me and a few others headed over.
Gentlemen! Well done. While feeling so joyous that we could weep, not a person complained of the heat, and I was surrounded by only friends.
Tokyo chapter, editing, sound, and promoting awaits.
I am rather happy. Filling emptiness with uniqueness is what pushes me forward.
I wonder way? I ended up hesitating....
I'm good at wimming with clothes on but,
now there are only 2 shoots left untill the final one so,
even if it's not like me, I felt a strong sense of duty.
Anyway, my head starts looking toward the editing session in Tokyo and what is left of this Okinawan seasons.

This? It's a picture.
A secret beach where we went to film the movie
No wind, no waves, no clouds, no islands, no boats, no mountains
I want to go into such a beach, I want to immerse in it.
Movie Karanukan Director's Diary
We enter into Ishigaki Akiko-san and Ishigaki Kinsei-san's total life, and delve deeply into textiles and agriculture. It will add further depth in terms of culture to the movie.
Kato Tokiko-san too, played the role of a teacher for the tidal bleaching of the bashofu.

Karanukan Director's Diary
The physical abilities were drawn up and used up to the limit.
The slim and lithe actress who just turned 19 exhausted her physical abilities to the limit.
I stood at the extreme site together with the film, sound, lights, costumes, and production staff.
The heat, water, and forest has followed us all the time.
Despite that, we are united at the site everyday, overflowing with energy, summoning up each of our own abilities and caliber.
I am blessed to be surrounded by such colleagues.
There are still a few days left in Okinawa's nature, agriculture, and culture where we have to film the last climax while being mixed in water and mud. It will be the final phase with Kato Tokiko san, Yui Masayuki san, and Chen Chao from China.
In 3 days, our time of filming in Okinawa, the main setting for this movie, will end.
In autumn, the stage will move to Aoyama in Shinjuku, to show the world's top lifestyle and design, in addition to the Tokyo chapter, I'll return to Okinawa for a few days to film its scenery left behind.

Ohh〜 a blubbering cicada♪
I wrote the lyrics for the theme song of Karanukan, Ai ni Nare.
Kato Tokiko wrote the melody, Marlene sings it.
The picture of the cicada that appears in the line was something I caught when I went on a stroll. It became a picture with a story as I took photographed it on my pillow.
It's amazing voice is making a lot of calls.
Director's Diary
Today was GACKT's last scene, a large-scale shoot, and a sublime shoot in the brackish water of the river pulled by the tide. Matched by the sunset and even the drone. Shaun Kazama's painful role in the scene of bringing the heroine to the girlfriend on motorbike, and GACKT's last scene were respectively filmed by drone.

Movie Karanukan Director's Diary
The home of the Fuku trees that have withstood over 300 years of storms remains.
It counts on the revival of the village that stays at the cozy harbor.
The movie, the Hamano team are both working in perfect harmony, well GACKT is left with one more day.
It'll be hard to leave.
