Online fashion retail site management company dazzy Co., Ltd. (head office: Tokyo Minato-ku, CEO: Shimoi Daigaku, subsequently referred to as “dazzy”) has now collaborated with artiste GACKT to launch a 「new brand」 of women’s party dresses.

The name of the new brand is 「MARGARET NOCTURNE」.
With 「MARGARET」 bearing the meaning of 「white flower」 and 「NOCTURNE」 bearing the meaning of 「black night」, it represents a dual nature, where the shadow of a young girl that mature women show and the mature look that innocent young ladies show in glimpses, in one lady.
「MARGARET NOCTURNE」 is a brand where women can escape the ordinary, and play the role of a charming woman with both her body and heart beautifully dressed up.
The dresses revealed this time reflects GACKT-san’s thoughts, and are designed like no other.
In this collaboration, GACKT was identified as an artiste who can bring a new perspective in producing something that reflects dazzy’s hope of 「continually providing dresses that beautifully choreographs women」. He has been sent numerous offers and this autumn, he has finally taken on the role as the new brand producer.

　On the 27th, singer GACKT (44), unveiled the line-up of praty dresses from a new brand, 「Margaret Nocture」 by fashion retail site 「dazzy」, which he produced.

　「I’ve been designing my own accessories, sunglasses, bottoms, among other things since 6 to 7 years ago」 said GACKT. With the party dresses, he spoke of his concept, saying 「The dresses express the duality of the lovely image of a young woman that Margaret creates and the nocturnal image of dancing in the night in one」.

　He brings up 8 points about the dresses, like how glimpses of the underbust can be seen and how the back is boldly left bare. He smiled confidently as he said 「It makes me excited even just standing next to her. Even simply walking in the city at night captures attention, and it can be worn not just to parties, but even to plays at night and more」. He then said 「Like how the culture of Halloween took root here in the past 4 years, I would like it to be recognised that wearing dresses isn’t a special thing」.

　Also, with regards to the retirement of fellow Okinawan Amuro Namie (40), he was emphatic, saying 「I honestly think it’s a waste」. Despite that, he displayed understanding, saying 「It’s a final that is much like her. It makes me think that it comes in such a form too」.

Actor and artiste GACKT appeared at the 『Dazzy new brand launch』 on the 27th in Tokyo.

　dazzy is a company dealing in ladies fashion with a focus on party dresses for women in their teens and twenties. It was announced that they had a new brand where GACKT was involved as it’s producer.

　GACKT revealed the name of the new brand to be 『MARGARET NOCTURNE』. And in terms of design concept, he said 「The name Margaret has the image of a sweet young woman. On the other side of that, Nocturne is associated with dancing in the night. These were designed with the idea of expressing the form of the dual nature of a young woman dancing in the night」.

　Regarding it’s characteristics, he gave the following comments, 「I think about what kind of woman makes my heart skip a beat, I always find that it’s women who show two-sides to me. I would like women who are girlish, looking lovely and charming, and at the same time express glimpses of a mature woman’s charm, to wear this. From the front, it looks like a modest dress but the back is rather bold, and the design, where in the front, under the chest, and the back too, looks revealing but isn’t. Don’t you think that such a dress is important? One that makes your heart skip a beat when you’re standing next to them」.

　A question that touched on where he would like to see these dresses worn was asked, and to that, he said 「It’s not only restricted to certain places because these were made with the image of being able to draw attention be it at a normal bar, when having a normal meal, or just walking around the city in the evening. I hope that they will make the hearts of men everywhere flutter. I think that their backbone will get stronger then, so I hope that you would cherish that feeling」.

　He shared his thoughts when he came up with these dresses, saying 「I wanted for women to be able to wear them without reservations. When going for a date or attending a party, it’s formal yet dressy and such. On average Japanese women are quite high up there, being both cute and beautiful. However, comparing them overseas, it feels like they don’t have a place. Overseas, there are lots of places where you can wear dresses, and I thought, wouldn’t it be good if they would approach it more dressily and carefreely」.

　Also, when the topic turned towards talking about slender body types, he gave his recommendation, saying 「I don’t think that there’s a need to think so hard about it. I’m already 44 but don’t people normally grow fatter when they reach close to my age? So try reducing your meals to one portion a day, and from there, try and see if you need exercise. With regards to one’s figure, I can only answer this much so, the first thing would be to try doing it」.

　His pumped chest has been attracting attention, to which he said 「It’s been weirdly emphasised that my chest has grown bigger recently. But I haven’t been doing any weight training these days, and have been training using my own body weight yet it still ends up like this. Once it becomes a habit, it’s no different from brushing teeth」.
