Singer GACKT (46) held a press conference in Tokyo and spoke about his commemorative 20th anniversary tour next year, revealing, “The content will be me seriously performing absurd things.”
The tour consists of 20 shows played in 8 cities and will start in Osaka next year, 11 January. With a theme of “GACKT’s money-wasting has begun”, he thought of a live set up which is easy to understand and enjoy. “The usual for a 20th anniversary would be something like a
compilation, wouldn’t it? I want to surprise people,” he laughed.
The movie he lead starred in, Tonde Saitama (Fly Me To The Saitama) was a hit. It was a comedy which dissed Saitama, but he reminisced, “The actors merely acted out stupid things earnestly and seriously. It was funny because we were thorough with that.” He stressed that it was likewise with this tour, “I’m squandering both money and manpower. Because we won’t be able to do anything funny if it’s half-hearted.”
