GACKT Official blog update. Translation below:

After finishing training, I prepared to go out.

During my stay in Japan this time round,
I got the feeling that my body went up a size, probably because I’ve been benching
and using the medicine ball daily, but I can’t really tell in photos…

While training everyday, I noticed a number of my own weaknesses.
I think that basically, when training in Japan, I normally do it alone.
Of course, silently facing the mirror
and training on my own is lonely.

Its lonely but there are many merits to being able to focus.
There’s also the chance to deal with my own weaknesses.
I’ll be able to become stronger by doing that over and over again.
Instead, I think that the times that I can spend training with friends
are very lucky times, and I can go further in such times.

There are also times when I train in between work.
During those times too, if you can get a change of pace, it can increase your concentration ability too.

While I’m in Japan, meetings for both work and my private life continue until late into the night.
Of course, there are also many occasions when I have to drink.
I don’t dislike that but if I don’t do anything about my body,
both my physique and my condition will, undoubtedly, crumble.

Especially during busy periods,
or rather, the busier you get,
if you don’t manage your body well, it will fall to pieces in the blink of an eye.
Times when you can hardly get any sleep are definitely tough.
However, if you let your body indulge, it’ll soon become useless.

On the contrary, if you keep it together and manage it well, you’ll be able to create a body than can pretty much handle stresses.

The more you age, the more your body will become unable to handle stress.
I believe almost everyone feels this.
If you properly do what you have to, you will, undoubtedly, not have many chances to feel that.

The meanings of 【accumulating years】 and 【gaining years】 are different.

【Accumulating years】 is
the way of life where you accumulate responsibilities, one after another, as you grow older.

【Gaining years】 is
the way of life where you let go of responsibilities, one after another, as you age.

At a glance,
【gaining years】 sounds like the more enjoyable way of life but
the people who live life by 【accumulating years】 will gain overwhelming strength.
That includes both the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects.

The phrase 【you get what you put in】
can imply with both good and bad meanings.
It’s alright as long as what comes back to you is the good stuff.

If the things that come back to you are are not anything like hate or pain and such,
but are instead things like gratitude, being emotionally moved, good health, or lots of knowledge, then your life will become enriched.

I sincerely hope that everyone can walk through a wonderfully painted life with a smile.
