APRESS.TOKYO: GACKT World's First Victory in『Fight League』Opening Ceremony

On June 22, GACKT-shi and Taka & Toshi-san appeared at the launch declaration event for『Fight League』, the new game from the developers of the smartphone application『Monster Strike』.

The smartphone application『Fight League』is a tag battle entertainment where two people put their courage together. Players tag team with friend, and for a team of 10 Fighters. The first one to defeat the opponent’s leader wins. With the goal of establishing a global competition, service for the 6 countries, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Canada, began after the event ended.

When GACKT-shi appeared, he said「For this one week I’ve been playing it without sleeping much. I’ll show you the results of stay up all night for a week」, revealing that he has been playing the game quite a lot. In additional, he declared his victory, saying「There’s no way I can lose」. In comparison, Taka & Toshi’s Taka-san said「I’ve successfully lost 8kg in this one month」, revealing his hard work in losing weight, and instantly, Toshi-san interjected「That’s not related!」, making the audience laugh.

For the tag battle, GACKT-shi teamed up with Hiromisu-san, who was picked from 4,000 people who applied to be his partner, and they went up against Taka & Toshi. GACKT-shi, who has been rated as a super top-class celebrity on the TV program『Geinoujin Kakudzuke Check』displayed his super top-class ability in gaming as well. In a flash, he clinched victory in the world’s first『Fight League』battle.

GACKT-shi, who won, pointed out to Taka & Toshi-san「They didn’t play the game」. He revealed that he was convinced of victory in the beginning, saying「I knew I would soon win」. To that, Taka-san said「We were told by the office that we were not to win against GACKT-san at all」and Toshi-san interjected「They said that we should definitely win!」, making the audience laugh again.

After the photo session ended, the three of them responded to informal interviews. To GACKT-san, who stayed up at night for a week, they asked whether it was tough to stay up, and he said「It’s not that I decided to stay up on purpose, but when I played it I just ended up staying up. If I get too into it I’ll end up doing this. It’s fun」, revealing that he really got addicted to『Fight League』and at the same time promoting the game. When asked about other things that he gets addicted to, he said「Like a girlfriend」, which was a GACKT-like answer as someone who has published a book on his perspective on love and had a smartphone application where users can date GACKT-shi. He then added his present view on love, saying「When I get infatuated with love I end up like this too. So I try not to get infatuated」.
