GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
I began preparing to go out in the morning.
It’s the final day of Camui♂Gakuen’s Gakuen Fest in Tokyo today.
The Student Council President asked me, saying that he’d really like me to come today,
and in the end, without refusing him, I decided to go.
However,
instead of reluctantly going,
I have stronger feelings of wanting to make sure of things.
I was once again impressed
by how well they’ve done thus far.
I suppose it’s something similar to parental affection…
When I arrived at the venue and went in,
the students, called F9 on stage,
were training.
I watched them from afar but
the realised that I was here and I went to greet everyone.
In the end,
I watched them from up close and found that they had quite a lot of training to do.
I was impressed,
feeling that the students of Camui♂Gakuen are truly passionate.
Even when I recall myself during my school days,
I never training as well or as hard,
at a glance, they look like they have playful characters but
that gap between that and this athletic club character is pretty hilarious…
When I peeked and looked outside the venue,
there were a lot of students already gathered and buying a variety of goods.
it was rather exciting.
The management staff, who can be considered as the executive committee, have wonderful smiles too.
After awhile,
I began to hear voices from inside.
I suppose rehearsals have begun.
I went to have a look.
When watching the rehearsals, I found the serious side of the Student Council President.
Normally he’s a guy who you won’t be able to figure out what he’s thinking of but
I was a little impressed, seeing that he also has such a serious side to him…
When I looked around the venue,
there were an exceptional number of cameras from the photography club,
as if they were starting to prepare to film something.
『What are they filming for?』
I asked,
and it seems that there’s a NicoNico Live broadcast today…
It appears that in the past,
the Gakuen Fest has already had live broadcasts on NicoNico Live a number of times.
It also serves as a DVD recording,
and the students purchase this Gakuen Fest DVD for memorial.
Is there really such a demand from the students…
Camui♂Gakuen is incredible.
The Student Council President looks rather slender when he’s dressed in the school uniform but
when playing the drums, his body
has been trained up rather well.
This too,
might be part of Camui♂Gakuen’s power.
The live begins,
and right from the first song, the excitement was pretty high.
Again, the words came out of my mouth, they’ve done well here…
In terms of entertainment,
there are a lot of pointers to really consider.
When I went to the backstage to have a look,
the students called F9 were running around.
They were busily moving around backstage,
since they had to perform a variety of things during the songs.
I couldn’t help but keep my eyes on them thinking,
so this is what it means to make a stage…
Even when I watched them from the side of the audience seats,
the students who were gathered looked like they were really enjoying themselves.
Halfway through, the Student Council President started singing ballads.
Because of how high his level of ability was, I was surprised by it.
He pretty much made other’s songs his own.
『He really is a peculiar guy…』
the words
that slipped out were my true thoughts.
He’s an elusive guy that sways me
and sometimes he annoys me but
despite that, when he shows a lovable side of him, I’ll end up forgiving him again.
With this and that, the curtains closed on Tokyo’s Gakuen Fest without incident.
When I was going to go home, I noticed that there were students outside waiting for the members to leave.
The members of F9 who appeared later
did some kind of performance for the students who were waiting there.
It’s really great of them…
With that, maybe I should go to Osaka for leisure and to watch them too…
This time’s Gakuen Fest is terrific.
Well then,
I’ll go home and get work done.
Since I kept getting called by the Student Council President,
I couldn’t do my own work.
I’m completely screwed.
