GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
While getting a drip, I got my work done.
I might not be feeling well because of the fatigue I’ve accumulated,
but my body feels heavy.
Well, it can’t be helped.
I get the feeling that I’ve overdone it a little.
After work, I headed to Shinjuku.
Today, I made some time to get my passport remade.
It’s been awhile since I stepped into Shinjuku.
It’s an area I’m not good with so even when I was living in Tokyo,
I rarely came here though…
Coming to Shinjuku for the first time in awhile, I got the feeling that it’s changed a lot but it might just be me.
Under normal circumstances,
I should be in Hong Kong today but
I encountered some trouble when I passed my passport to my staff
and that staff lost it, in the end it couldn’t be found.
A few days before departing for Hong Kong, I realised that I don’t have my passport
and even when I tried looking for it, it was nowhere to be found.
They’ve apologised countless times but I wasn’t angry or anything.
Even if I got angry, nothing would have changed anyway,
and it doesn’t make what was lost appear anyway.
They said that they thought that I would’ve been more angry…
but nothing will change even if I got angry.
Oh well,
it’s a pity that it can’t be found,
but I just thought that it’ll be troublesome to get the various visas processed.
Even so, having lost my passport,
this time, I’ve understood that it’s pretty troublesome to get it remade,
Anyway, it’s a bother.
However,
when going out overseas,
foreigners have to basically carry their passports with them around.
Bringing it outside greatly increases the probability of losing it.
I end up wondering, isn’t there a better way to do this…
In my purse,
I normally keep a laminated copy of my passport in it but
there were occasions when I showed that instead of my passport
and was told that it doesn’t count.
It would be great if there was a better method though.
If Japanese licenses or IDs were written in English,
it will be able to be used around the world but for some reason,
why is it only written in Japanese…
It’s quite a question.
This time, I contacted them ahead of time
for the re-issuance of my passport so
the process itself was completed exceptionally smoothly.
However,
there are a lot of documents that had to be prepared in advance.
A passport is not something to lose…
I should get a purse made to use overseas.
There are too few good ones.
At night,
I opened a bottle of tequila in celebration for a senpai but
this is a tequila that I’ve opened for the first time, and it was exceptionally delicious
so I took a photo of it.
Recently, there has been an increase in the number of varieties of Tequila.
If there are other delicious ones too, I’ll steadily try them all.
Alright then,
I’m leaving for Hakone now.
