GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
I started the morning with recording today as well.
As I’ll be heading to America soon,
I had to finish the recording to a certain extent
and the work got clogged up.
I quickly finished my training,
and started recording.
The songs progress smoothly as usual.
Work progressed smoothly until midway,
when I suddenly couldn’t get into the mood,
and became unable to sing.
As songs are things that really rely on your mentality,
the moment you slip out of it
you’ll become completely unable to create anything good.
Of course,
having come to this age, I can definitely
clear the technical side and the skill side without a doubt but
personally I just can’t give the okay for this.
I can’t help but say that this can’t be helped anymore.
As I grow older,
on the contrary, I’ve become even more particular about this part.
In the end,
without gaining satisfaction no matter how many times I do it,
I decided to stop halfway.
Even for me, I still can’t control this area.
I wonder how the other vocalists do it.
As it turned to evening, I headed out with everyone for dinner.
Since we’ve got a lot of people today,
we headed towards 【RAMA5】, a Thai restaurant I like.
Because this restaurant
responds smoothly when we have a lot of people along,
it’s pretty useful.
The private rooms too are luxurious and
are exceptionally easy to use when guests from Japan come over.
When going to America, the most troublesome thing of all is ensuring that I have a private room.
America is a strange country.
Despite that it’s such a big country with that many different races of people,
no matter which restaurant I go to, there are always too few private rooms.
It seems like they don’t really have the habit of eating in private rooms.
And,
when I ask for a private room, I’ve often been asked how many people it’ll be for.
I wonder if it’s because they think that asking for a private room equates to having a large number of people along.
Oh well,
even in South-east Asia, there are countries where it’s difficult to ensure that I have a private room but
I can say that in KL, that is one thing that’s exceptionally easy to get.
I’m unusually tired.
I’m quite sleepy.
It’s rare that I feel such a strong drowsiness…
Anyway, I have to make sure I don’t fall asleep in the middle of the meal.
Alright then, I think I should focus on dinner.
Have a wonderful night everyone.
