On the 5th, musician GACKT attended the Roaring & Cheering Screening Event for the movie『Kong: Skull Island』(in cinemas now) that was held in Tokyo. When asked about his most nervous moment in his life, he shared about an episode when he had a difficult time when he visited Hokkaido for a calendar shoot, and 500 fans gathered there with the intention to see GACKT.
GACKT said,「Without bodyguards with me, I went to Hokkaido’s Shizunai for a shoot」, and after the shoot he went to a bar for a drink, when some time past 1 a.m. in the middle of the night, he heard people’s voices outside. After that,「When I decided to go out at around 2 a.m., the shop staff stopped me. He told me that the people from the village gathered to come and see GACKT-san, but I thought『There’s no way』」, recalling what happened back then.
GACKT looked outside the shop and saw around 500 people gathered there, and felt tense, then he called the police and walked outside,「The moment someone tapped my body, I was mobbed by 500 people. That was the real life『Walking Dead』」he said, laughing as he recalled the experience that was like a zombie attack.
This movie is about the sublime experiences of an expedition team that infiltrated the uninhabited Skull Island with the intent of territory expansion. With a record 1.3 billion yen in box office earnings, GACKT lent his voice for the Japanese dub of Tom Hiddleston’s protagonist.
