[MAKERNEWS] GACKT at NesCafe event

On 29 October, Nestle Japan held the launch event for「NesCafe Flavour Roast Shun Meguri Cafe」.

At the same cafe where one can try the「Flavour Roast　Kiwami」, which launched on October 1, NesCafe Shinjuku will be open for a limited period between 30 October～6 November. With high-definition 4KVIEWING, one will be able to experience the autumn scenery as if it was real.

During this same event, customer number 1, GACKT-san, made an appearance. Together with Kawano Takehisa of the Beverage Department’s regular soluble coffee business department, who co-created the「Flavour Roast　Kiwami」with Tamura Takashi of「Tsukiji Mura」, they promoted the「Flavour Roast　Kiwami」.

About the「Flavour Roast Kiwami」, director Kawano explained,「Beginning with the idea of thinking about the seasons of the locality, we went after the season of the coffee beans, changed the harvesting area and used carefully selected beans. From the ingredients, the extraction, to the fire for roasting, we paid attention to all of it」.

Tamura-san commented,「The name『Kiwami (究み)』, came when we were thinking about our continuing pursuit for even better taste in future, and intentionally stuck on the name『Kiwami (極み – extremity)』. From here on too, we would like to achieve even better taste」.

When GACKT tasted the「Flavour Roast　Kiwami」, he said「It’s more delicious than I expected. I think that this would be most luxurious for the Japanese who enjoy the season. Also, he presented a hanging scroll on which he wrote「Shun Meguri Cafe」, showing off his skill in calligraphy.

At the Shun Meguri Cafe, the elegance of autumn will be reproduced with a real rock garden with fall foliage, nature’s sounds of the forest, murmurings of the river, singing of the insects, and more. Each day, only 100 sets of the「Tsukiji Mura　Shun no Kanmi set」will be sold.

Additionally, after 7 November at Sendai’s Akiu Great Falls, Yokohama’s Sankeien Garden, and the others of the 6 nation-wide autumn spots, taste samplings will be conducted.
