I arrived home in KL.

The moment I opened the door, my cute daughters jumped on me.

It makes me so happy to see them so happy to have me home.

Dogs are better at expressing their joy than people.

It occurred to me that if people could express their joy this openly, many more families would be happy.

People quickly forget their gratitude once they get used to something.

Even if you love someone that much, if you see them every day, you take their presence for granted, and their coming home for granted.

You never know when they'll be gone.
It's not surprising if they disappear at any time.

When the person you're close to comes home, try jumping on them and saying, "Welcome home!" I'm sure there are many dads who are inspired by small things like that.

I imagined the bottom of the ninth inning, two outs, runners on second and third, but it wasn't a strike.
Looks like I still had a lot to learn from my practice.

But I think I accomplished my main mission of livening up the venue.
I'm relieved that everyone enjoyed themselves.

Next time, I'll practice hard and give me a chance to get revenge.
Next time, I want to get revenge with the bottom of the ninth inning, two outs, runners on bases, and a count of 2-3.

Today I'll be taking part in the first pitch of the Nippon Ham vs Orix game at Escon Field in Hokkaido.

I've said this many times before, but I'm terrible at ball games.

Especially in a sport like baseball, which requires delicate technique, I truly feel it's presumptuous for me to stand on the mound.

But this time, I've been given the opportunity to throw the ball at the ceremonial first pitch.

To be honest, I'm not sure if it will even reach the catcher.

If it does, it'll be a miracle, but if it's a strike, it'll be a big deal.

When that happens, Ocean Co., Ltd. will apparently prepare a present for everyone to commemorate this miracle, but please don't get your hopes up.

Whatever the outcome, this will be my first and last ceremonial first pitch.
I hope I can liven up the atmosphere.

This might sound harsh if you just take it in isolation, but what I wanted to say is that just because you can hit the right note doesn't make a song good.

Rather than pitch, a great song comes from expressiveness, the appeal of the voice, and an atmosphere that can convey the message you want to get across.
