Joining the production course of Nihon Arts Department, I was selected for the main character of the movie 「Taiyou No Sakebi」 from the director supervisor just before summer vacation.
I was just a 19-years-old young man who was crazy about movies. The music brought to me the friendship with the modern jazz pianist Masahiko Satou.
It has been 58 years since then, and I've finally made "Karanukan", a movie that will be screened in cinemas. It will finally go on screens nationwide on March 10.
I made a direct appeal to GACKT, who I am deeply enamoured with, and he fully immersed himself in the tough filming with top notch acting abilities. The movie "Karanukan" is a story about an utmost love and mythology that cannot exist without GACKT.
It will begin nationwide screenings from March 10. It is now number 1 in present trailer views.

A notice about the completion of the first draft of the novel Karanukan.
I'm not aiming at winning any prize, it's just that I wished to convey all the delicate and absurd truths that I wasn't able to fully convey in the movie. Is it strange to publish a novel after the movie? Still, I had this compelling need to fulfill.
I want to make you realize, both with your heart and body, the meaning of 'Ai ni Nare' so, I'll publish it in the form of a book that is cheaper than the movie. At first, it will go on sales in cinemas and dedicated stores.

Finally, the film Karanukan will be released on March 10.
In April last year we were invited as special entry to the Okinawa International Film Festival, and since that day when I walked down the red carpet with GACKT, in nearly one year we completed preparations and the release is just around the corner.
Tickets are selling well and even the hit rate of the trailer is high.
Giving birth to a movie is an enjoyment but, when it reaches general appreciation and popularity, that is a matter of human skills.

I think that never watching a movie in one's life is a shame.
This picture is from the stage greeting at the Okinawa Film Festival, I can't say that my stage greetings are interesting but GACKT and Kimura are accustomed to this. I even learned how to hold a mic from GACKT.
