2016/12/31 The setting sun of Okinawa on East China Sea is possessed by a god and, the plan for the 'Niraikanai Umi no Himatsuri' in 2017 have started. That secret plan is moving closer from that point of the sea.
I am producing two films.
The documentary film 'TETON - Yama no Koe' with the Grand Teton as its stage (n.d.t The highest mountain in Grand Teton National Park,Wyoming,America)
and 'Karanukan' with its stage in Okinawa.

Karanukan Director's diary
The hardest part was the scene of the festival
2016/7/15
Thanks to the management of the Churaumi Aqaurium, the Chirashima Foundation, we were able to carry out an incredible event,and just by considering the event alone it was a great success but, to include this scene in the movie is something unprecedented! The deep emotions for this great success was portrayed in the movie.
The -Niraikanai Umi no Himatsuri- will grow to become a large scale event in 2017. We were able to include the traditional fireworks competition, and this too will become a large scale event that will be shown to the world.
The one performing the Ootori, Marelen that sings the theme song of Karanukan -Ai ni nare-, stage production Kayatake Yukio, chairman Ijikata Kiyoshi, Yamada Minami, the event producer Hasegawa Junichi, production assistant Ohara Morio,Hanai Misato... the performers Ganeko Yoriko, Taira Kozue, Yamakawa Akira, Miyazato Kayoko, Miyagi Yoko, Jinnai Sho, Shon Kazama... I'm grateful to everyone.
In 2017/7/15, we will meet at the -Niraikanai Umi no Himatsuri and the fireworks event that will be shown to the world.

Karanukan is a movie starring GACKT.
The leading role of the sun of Okinawa.
Karanukan (the god of the river) surrounds the good of the sun. Niraikanai, the moon, the sea, this are all gods existing all thanks to the sun.
The glittering sun, time after time, repeatedly appears.
Oyama Hikaru the character portraied by GACKT is called 'Hikari-san', Mr. Light

The whole picture of the movie Karanukan has finally come to be concretely visible.
I was able to clearly submit an editing plan as the director. The level of this work really grew high.
I strongly feel the expectations of the people of Okinawa
GACKT, Kimura Suzuka, Akiyoshi Kumiko, Katou Tokiko, Issou Masa, Kimura Yuuichi, Jinnai Sho, Shon Kazama, Ganeko Yoriko, Ootsuka Shokyu, Marlene, Yui Masayuki, Konno Yuri, Nakamura Mariko, Miyagi Yoko, Miyazato Kayoko, Thierry Cohen, Chen Chao, Ishigaki Kinsei, Ishigaki Akiko, Taira Kozue..
A lot of performers from all around the world participated in this movie. Somehow I have the feeling I will be able to create a world-class movie.

During the editing in Tokyo GACKT showed another side of himself totally different from the one he showed in Okinawa.
He is really a beautiful man. Even during the editing he does it with charm.

Thank you to all the people involved in the movie Karanukan.
Surely, I will show you and incredible finished movie.
The shooting are all completed, and starting today we decided on the editing method, and the plan for scene check. It almost completed. During this month I'll work hard so that I'll be able to deliver the movie to all willing to see it.
