GACKT Official X update. Translation below
It must have been hard on this crew member.
The fact that they were found in the morning means that they were floating on the pitch black ocean.
I also once drifted at sea for seven hours when I was 26 years old and in Okinawa during a training camp.
When I think back to that time, it still sends shivers down my spine.
Luckily, after seven hours, I happened to reach the shore, but I almost gave up many times in the ocean.
If I had been unlucky and the waves had gone the wrong way, I probably would have died.
Since then, I never went out on a boat where I couldn’t see the shore.
I also lost all desire to have a cruise ship.
The ocean is scary because you can’t measure time, you don’t know the direction, and there is no information.
It’s not just the ocean. Whether it’s a lake, pond, or river, wherever there is water, one wrong step can lead to a fatal accident.
Every year, I see news about people who have died at sea or in lakes, but I can’t imagine that those people were letting their guard down.
That’s how much risk there is around water.
Don’t take it lightly. If you think you’ll be fine, something terrible will happen.
I want to tell my 26-year-old self.
Everyone, be careful.
… https://t.co/DZNTi6LKHZ— GACKT (@GACKT) September 22, 2024
