GACKT Official Facebook update.
I admire the immediate response of Tsukuba City to the corona virus current situation.
According to the request from the Prime Minister to close schools nationwide on March 2nd, Tsukuba City held an urgent meeting on how to respond. Considering the needs of parents who couldn’t take the time off from work, it has been decided that students will remain in school as usual till March 5th in preparation for preventing infection. Those who are worried about attending school during that period, will not be counted as absent if they don’t show up.
The schools are officially temporarily closed from March 6th to March 24th, but those who decide to still attend, can do so. Instructors will be present, but instead of regular classes, independent study will take place. The schools will be open from 8:00am to 3:00pm. The after school childcare will be also be provided as usual.
Lunch will be served until March 5th, however whether there will be lunch served after March 6th will be determined by the survey on March 2nd. The results will be an announcement on March 2nd.
We will keep you informed of any changes to this policy and all additional the information. The situation is changes with every minute during this stressful time but in Tsukuba City, we will do our best to ensure that children and their parents can have a peace of mind. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in preventing the spread of this infection.
