Karanukan’s DERECTER’S EYE 10

This is Oomine Nobutaka, a potter of Nakijin that my wife follows. In the film he appears in the important role of Yoshiaki Omine, a potter. It is his first appearance in a film but still he has a lot of lines, and his performance, quiet but filled with feelings, that will guide GACKT’s Ooyama Hikari’s fluttering heart and gently push him toward a great change, has an inner glow.
Only those glasses are my present for him.
For the movie we were able to lighten the climbing kiln. That incredible blaze raised the quality of the whole movie.
The Shisa (*Okinawan lion statue used as a talisman against evil) in my house were all created by him. And even the vessels were mostly made by him.
