GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
Today, I’ve been feeling great since morning.
For some reason, mornings in Nagoya always make me feel comfortable.
I spent the time relaxing and having tea.
I then headed to Osaka to make it in time for the afternoon performance.
After enjoying my tea,
I went into the car and we drove into the Meishin Expressway.
It’s also been awhile since I watched Japan’s scenery from a car window like this.
While chatting with the staff, we headed towards Osaka but
the expressway was more jammed than expected and we couldn’t go fast.
Before I knew it,
the comfort from the movement of the car made me fall asleep.
By the time I realised it,
the city came flying towards my line of sight.
“It’s Osaka City…”
It seems that we made quite a lot of progress while I was asleep.
I still had quite some time before the performance starts.
While wondering if I could make it for the rehearsal, I started walking.
I wandered the streets,
then headed towards Shinsaibashi BIG CAT where the Balue Hearts venue is at for today.
I wonder just how many years it has been
since I’ve walked the streets of Osaka like this
When going through Sankaku Koen, I was shocked by how few people there were.
According to what I’ve heard, this area has recently been rather outdated and it sounds bad.
When it was trendy in the past, the crowds were terrible but
recently, it really looks like there isn’t anyone around.
When I went to the area where there were people,
I took a glance and found that it was overflowing with foreigners.
Instead,
there were so many foreigners that it was difficult to find a Japanese.
It looks like people from Europe, America,
China, Korea, and other Asia countries came here.
When I arrived at BIG CAT, I intended to watch their rehearsal but
it has already ended
and it looks like the doors were about to open soon.
When I went downstairs, the members of Balue Hearts
were hastily taking pictures.
They look busy.
When I called out to them, they replied with smiles but
to not get in their way, I waited in another room until the performance starts.
When the performance began,
I was suprised by how much their performance ability has improved.
I suppose they’ve practiced quite a lot.
It looks like each of the members are playing their roles well too.
Even so, this live was one to think about in depth…
In the blink of an eye, the hour and a half performance ended.
Despite that the whole show seemed like it was just for fun, Baruto’s monologue at the end,
for some reason, shook my heart and made me feel like tears were going to flow.
It’s strange…
I might be this moved because
he’s conveying a message from inside to the people watching.
Despite that they are a parody band,
I still find myself moved by Baruto’s message.
Maybe I should watch a little of the evening performance too before going back…
