This morning, I woke up quickly, feeling pretty good in morning as well.
Even if I went up to the lobby, I’m pretty sure everyone else is still asleep…
I spent the time slowly, drinking tea.
Before noon, everyone woke up one after another.
After that,
I started work on the recording.
After checking and this and that, in the end,
we worked until it was right before dinner time.
At a time that made it look like we were definitely going to be late,
we headed out towards the dinner venue.
However,
Baru’s stray driving
led to us wandering in some unknown direction.
By the time we realised it, we were thrust into the middle of a heavy traffic jam.
To top it off, we ran out of gas,
confirming that we were definitely going to be late.
The image of my partner’s angry face appeared before my eyes…
It’s kinda scary…
We arrived an hour late.
Tonight, we’re in an area called Bangsar,
to have dinner at a Xiaolongbao restaurant called 【Paradise Dynasty】.
It can’t compare to Japan’s Jin Din Rou (京鼎楼) but
it’s a restaurant with unique Xiaolongbao, and it’s not bad.
When I though of my partner, filled with anger,
I don’t feel like heading into the restaurant but I can’t do anything about it even if I stayed outside.
I nervously entered the restaurant,
and saw my partner’s twitching face that became weird from anger…
It’s pretty scary…
To appease his anger, we started to talk about work while eating.
My partner’s mood went back to normal,
and the meal when back to it’s usual enjoyable atmosphere.
This is my last meal in KL tonight.
After we were done with talking about work,
I started to have a conversation with Japan via SNS, my usual way of doing it when in KL.
Since South-east Asia doesn’t have much of a time difference with Japan,
it’s exceptionally easy to communicate for work.
If I was in Europe or America instead,
it can be said that the communication of my intentions will not go smoothly at all.
This is also one of the reasons why I chose to be based in South-east Asia.
After finishing the meal, we came out of the restaurant and wanted to go to a delicious cafe
so we headed to the cafe from the other day.
It was already late
and it was past closing time.
I would’ve been nice to have made it in time though.
As expected, it seems like my partner got angry again,
and his face is twitching…
He looks scary.
He exudes an aura that feels like he’s going to stab anyone and everyone.
The cafe was just about to close but
the staff readily said okay, and let us in.
The faces of my partner and Baru
were so moved by how delicious the cappuccino we were served was
that their faces cramped up…
After that, we went back to my place and practised poker together.
My adjustments have also been finished well for the tournament.
I’m looking forward to the competition in Vegas.
