GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
I’ve finally returned to KL.
Even so, today was screwed.
I ate with my friends
then went into the airport just in time.
The airport wasn’t as crowded as I expected.
I went straight into the plane and sat in my seat.
This time’s flight is pretty empty.
I suppose since everyone is rushing home after the holidays, there wouldn’t be many people who are leaving Japan at this timing.
I heard that the arrival gate was very packed.
I thought of relaxing and sleeping in the plane but
I couldn’t sleep at all.
Oh well,
it’s the usual though.
While going through a folder of old photos,
I found a screenshot of a game that I was addicted to for awhile.
It’s the game 2048.
It was a game that even became an international hit.
The gameplay is simple, when blocks with the same numbers come together, they gradually multiply.
There are only 4 x 4 squares and within them, you have to gradually increase the number.
First, you aim to get to 2048. Incidentally, I take around 7 minutes on average to get to 2048.
You’ll understand just how fast this is once you’ve tried it.
I’m not boasting but
I held the world record for this game.
I was that addicted to this game but I got too extreme and had no more goal, so I quit.
I sometimes feel that when ceiling can be seen, humans will really become an empty shell but
instead, I feel happy doing the same thing over and over again when it comes to poker.
No matter how many times I play it, I can’t see it’s uppermost limit. Although I can’t see the ceiling, I hit a wall every time.
Even when I think that I’ve grown stronger,
not only will there be many times when I end up losing,
I will also end up asking myself time and again, “Why did I do something like that?”.
I played games too much in the plane, and ended up being unable to sleep.
In the blink of an eye, it was arrival time, and just as the plane landed and docked, I was the first to get to the door with the solicitude of a tour leader.
As I walked
I thought, 「Somehow, I feel relieved…」
and while looking around me, I walked to the immigration area.
In KL airport, there’s a duty-free after you go through immigration and
I decided to get tequila there before going home so I brought it to the cashier.
And there, I realised this for this first time.
『AHHHHHHHHH!!!
I left my clutch bag behind in the plaaaane!!!!』
At this point in time, it’s not possible to go back in.
Anyway, since I’m already standing here, it can’t be helped.
I only kept my passport in my pocket though, everything else was in my bag.
I got into the car, and took a deep breath for now.
I tried calling my cabin attendant friend who was also on the same flight just now. Maybe they realised that it was mine, and could have held onto it.
Just then,
a call came in from that friend…
『Hello?』
『Waka! You can’t do this! You shouldn’t forget about your bag!』
When I heard these words,
I was sincerely thankful, something that one must have are friends after all.
I have lots of cabin attendant friends.
While travelling to various countries, I often get along well with cabin attendants and head out to eat with them.
When I’m travelling alone and such,
I often meet cabin attendant friends and eat with them in the locales too.
Well… Seen from a third-party’s point of view, it might look like I’m hitting on them in the plane though.
Anyway
they will bring my bag to me at dinnertime.
When I arrived home, Angie came towards me.
Reuniting after a long time, tears somehow flowed out.
Even so,
for someone like me, who often loses things in the plane,
it’s a very lucky thing that something I’ve lost is coming back to me like this.
Even if people around me think that I’m hitting on the attendants,
it has led to me finding something that I’ve lost like this.
Ahhh, that was really lucky.
A cabin attendant friend is one that you must have.
One thing settledd…
