GACKT Official Blog update. Translation below:
Today, I didn’t really get to sleep as I got my makeup done in the morning.
Anyway, I’m, sleepy.
Just for today,
lots of staff came over from Japan and are gathered here, so I can’t complain either.
Even so, I’m sleepy.
After filming in front of my house for awhile,
I headed straight into the car and went on the move.
Today, a TV crew from a Japanese station
came to take a peek into my like in KL.
Honestly,
I don’t really want to show my private life but
because this is something that director I’m acquainted with really hopes to do with me,
I gave him the OK.
After we started moving, we headed to
a piece of property owned by the father of a friend.
Well,
this will be something to look forward to seeing on the program anyway.
Even so,
having such a luxurious house in this town
will naturally have something bad about it.
Then,
I went to buy my usual nuts,
and headed towards a shopping mall called BSC.
Well,
I’m honestly not doing anything big but
in the end, what they want to film is my daily life.
There,
I spoke a little about things like what KL is really like
and what the attraction of this country is.
An hour-long program is far from enough
for me to talk about the good points of this city.
Of course,
lots of migrants from Japan too
still don’t know about a lot of this city’s charms.
I was lucky to have local friends
so they told me a lot of things about all sorts of places, including the local hideouts
from the very start when I first came here.
Even so,
there are still places that I don’t know of.
And,
there’s still a ton of things there aren’t enough of.
That is the service
and the shops.
I think that that is something that would be good
for us to bring or create.
If the existing quality is low, you can just supply high quality items,
since we’re already coming to and fro between Japan and KL anyway.
Even so, KL is a hot city.
This time, I felt that again.
While lots of friends migrate over,
their honest opinions have been of great reference.
At night, I had dinner at 【Tamarind】
a South-East Asian fusion restaurant that I like.
There are lots of European customers here.
While I was eating, a French who happened to be visiting called out to me.
『Are you GACKT?』
He looked pretty excited.
With strongly accented English,
he was talkative, saying that he had just arrived from France and then came to this restaurant.
『As I looked over
I was wondering, “Could that be GACKT?”…
Then I thought, but there’s no reason that he’d be here…
But I couldn’t stop wondering…』
It was a moment when I felt like it’s a small world.
I will appear anywhere in the world.
Like a Gypsy GACKT…
Maybe it’s about time for me to venture into South America.
There are still a lot of countries that I don’t know of.
Anyway, I’m sleepy.
When I get home today, I’ll rest for a bit.
