Today, I did my training in the morning as well.
As usual, I woke up quickly.
Upon ending my training,
I brought my friends
to different locations to take them house-viewing.
My job is also to support their lifestyle.
There are a mountain load of houses in KL that makes you want to stay there.
To find a house that you like within all of that
is, unexpectedly, a real struggle.
That’s not because you can’t find a house,
but it’s because there are so many good houses that you’ll have trouble in deciding on one.
But
you don’t only have to think of the house,
you also have to consider how much traffic there will be,
whether there are schools or hospitals nearby,
how many facilities, that are needed for day to day life, there are around the area,
and things like that aren’t thought of by the normal real estate agents.
Those things are a given but
the agents just want to sell the houses anyway.
I’ll look at it in the position of those who will be living here
and check one by one whether certain things like,
this house may be good but access is an issue, or
the traffic gets bad here so it might become stressful,
are acceptable to them.
It’s similar to being a property agent but this is also one of my hobbies.
The time spent going around and looking at property
is the most enjoyable thing to me, and I feel excited about it from start to end.
From touching the workmanship of the house,
to how amazing the attention to detail of a house is,
to finding that one part has a cheap finish… things like that.
While getting a feel of the smallest problem areas,
I suppose I enjoy imagining
a house I like in my head.
Usually, I design a variety of things on my own.
Something designed by yourself is very meaningful.
I design houses myself too but
communication problems will definitely exist in
a luxurious house made by someone else.
And there’s a clear reason why
those problems can’t be eliminated.
Why will there be communication problems?
That’s because
the level between the one living in the house and the one building it is different.
In other words, this is because the people who build the house
aren’t living in the house that
they themselves designed.
The limousine that I ride is also designed by myself.
That’s because a limousine made by someone else looks flashy
and in the end,
when the producers actually sit in the limousines themselves,
they can’t live a normal life
and they don’t ever notice the issues in the small details.
In other words
they’re not making what they imagined.
The limousines on the market are so bad
because they have issues that would definitely not have happened
if the levels of the user and the maker were the same.
It’s the same for houses.
Because the level of the one living there is different from the one building it,
there are a lot of luxurious houses
that spot inconvenient builds when you actually try to live in them
There are many times when I think, “it should have been more like this…”.
No matter how flashy the appearance is,
there are many things that you won’t realise without actually living there.
But, when it comes to buying big ticket items like houses,
building one yourself
and then living there, to do that over and over again,
it does take a lot of physical ability after all.
While I’ve always felt this,
going around to look at a variety of properties
is something I love doing.
We had a look at quite a number of them until nightfall, and after they were satisfied
I brought them to a Japanese restaurant I’m into.
I really enjoyed my mealtime
while we talked about this and that in relation to houses.
But still, when I say this it’s funny…。
