GACKT, 『Deadpool』 SM Scene a Favourite

On the 26th, musician GACKT attended the movie premiere for 『Deadpool』 at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, and having watched the movie before, he highlighted an SM scene.

It is an action movie where Marvel comics’ irresponsible and self-centered hero, Deadpool, is the main character. The main character (Ryan Reynolds) has a mouth full of jokes and goes on a spree of violence with extraordinary healing abilities and an immortal body which he received through human body modifications.

With regards to Deadpool, GACKT showed a side of him that lives Marvel heroes, saying 「I loved him when he appeared in 『Wolverine: X-MEN ZERO』, so I’ve been waiting for this to be released」. He then praised it, saying 「Because American heroes are rarely approached in this manner, it felt like we finally arrived at this phase. In terms of dark heroes we have Batman and such but, he’s (Deadpool) not anything like that, he’s a brainless hero. But he’s strong y’know」.

Next, when asked about the most impressionable scene from the joke-filled movie, he surprised the venue by mentioning an unexpected scene, 「There are SM lines in it. He ended up on all fours right, I like that part quite a lot. Because it happened despite that he’s a hero, I’m quite into it」.

At the event, Creepy Nuts (R-Shitei & DJ Matsunaga) performed a freestyle rap, and husband and wife, Miles and Lauren Mikolas, along with Takano Tomomi appeared as guests at the venue.（Reporting ・Text: Nakamura Yoshinobu）
