GACKT comments, SMAP’s existence is impactful 「They can touch a lot of people’s hearts」

On the 25th, singer GACKT attended the ribbon-cutting and opening ceremony of Oracle Beauty Clinic’s Tokyo Shinjuku Salon. With regards to the news about the popular group SMAP’s break-up and going independent, he commented 「It’s impactful, their existence. They are able to touch a lot of people’s hearts. For guys like them, I hope that they continue working hard from here on」.

Earlier he said 「I don’t say criticise trivial things」, 「More than anything I believe that the members have things that they want to say and do themselves」, and continued with an appeal 「This industry is a world that’s tougher than one would expect. In it, they reign as the national idols. I think that they realise that there are tons of people who are supporting them, and I too look forward to their activities from here on」.

He said softly 「It doesn’t matter what the press or others say like who’s good or bad. What I’m most interested in is how they will deliver their own actions and activities to many fans. I believe that many fans are also waiting for that. I’m cheering for them too 」.

GACKT is the current face of the Clinic, and continued to talk about beauty. The Clinic will be open from the 30th.
